ABOUT THE ARTIST: Tim Lindemann graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 1996 with a bachelors degree in biology. Halfway through his senior year he bought a basic flameworking setup which consisted of a torch, glass and a small anealer. By the time he graduated he was passionately consumed with this fascinating medium.

He attended Pilchuck Glass school in Spring 2000 to take flameworking class from a Venetian master Cesare Toffolo. His beautiful elaborate art glass is made by a glassblowing technique called flamework or lampwork. This glass art technique consists of a torch melting borosilicate glass rods and then blowing, twisting, stretching and pulling to desired form.
